Welcome to the research hub for the longitudinal study of Irish school principal and deputy principal health and wellbeing.
The Principal and Deputy Principal Health and Wellbeing Survey is a confidential survey, independent of all employer groups, professional associations and unions.
It is for all school principals and deputy principals of both primary and second level schools in Ireland. The survey is supported by both the Irish Primary Principals' Network (IPPN) and the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD) the professional associations representing Irish school leaders, and is carried out by A/Prof Philip Riley and his research team in Melbourne, Australia.
We need your help to provide evidence to policy makers, employers and all those responsible for the role of principal and deputy principal.
The first section is of the survey designed to establish a demographic profile while subsequent sections are focussed on aspects of health and wellbeing.
We can help you personally by giving you a snapshot of your own health and wellbeing after you take the survey, as well as providing information about support services that are available and details of our previous reports.
The 2015 survey is now closed.
